This policy explains what information KOPS Studio collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the KOPS Studio application and dashboard at kops.com and to any channels you connect to it. We keep it plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email contact@kops.com.
1. Who we are
KOPS Studio is a product of KOP Worldwide B.V., registered in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands (postal code 1033 WW). We produce, dub and distribute video content, and we operate channels on behalf of the creators we work with.
2. What we access and why
When you connect your YouTube channel through Google's secure sign-in, you grant KOPS Studio permission to work on your channel on your behalf. Specifically, we access:
- Your basic Google account details (name and email address) to create and identify your KOPS Studio account.
- Your YouTube channel and video data so we can upload dubbed videos and movie compilations, and manage titles, descriptions, captions and thumbnails for the content we produce for you.
- Your YouTube analytics (views, watch time, revenue-related metrics) so we can report performance back to you and calculate revenue shares.
We only request the minimum permissions needed to run the services you have asked us to run. We do not access anything on your account that is unrelated to those services.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
- We do not use your data for advertising or to build advertising profiles.
- We do not transfer your data to third parties except the limited service providers described below, or where the law requires it.
- We do not delete or alter content outside the scope of the services you connected us for.
4. Google Limited Use
KOPS Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In short: data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the features you connected, and never for advertising, resale, or credit assessment.
5. How we store and protect data
Access to your channel is handled through Google's OAuth tokens. We store these tokens in encrypted form and use them only to perform the tasks you have authorized. Content files, metadata and analytics are stored on access-controlled servers. Only the KOPS team members and service providers who need access in order to run your channels can reach this data.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the service, for example cloud hosting and storage, and AI dubbing and transcription tooling. These providers process data only on our instructions and only to deliver the service. They may not use your data for their own purposes.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your channel is connected and you have an active relationship with KOPS. When you disconnect, or on written request, we delete the Google user data we hold and revoke the stored access tokens, except where we are legally required to retain limited records (for example, tax and accounting obligations). Analytics we have already reported to you may be retained in aggregate, non-identifying form.
7. Your choices and how to revoke access
You are always in control of the connection.
- Disconnect inside KOPS Studio using the "Disconnect & sign out" option in your dashboard.
- Revoke access from Google directly at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions (or security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Removing KOPS Studio there immediately ends our access.
- Request deletion of the data we hold about you by emailing contact@kops.com. We action verified requests within 30 days.
8. Children
KOPS Studio is a business tool for content owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
9. International transfers
We are based in the Netherlands and may process data in the EU and other countries where our providers operate. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at contact@kops.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify connected users. Continued use of KOPS Studio after a change means you accept the updated policy.
